Suddenly.... it came to me!

I have two great passions in life. One is writing and the other is camping.

Writing
is something that I knew I had a gift for at a young age. I have won numerous short story, poetry and playwright contests over the years. The idea of expressing my thoughts and ideas with my fingers to a keyboard excites me.

Camping
When people ask me "Where do you suggest I camp?", the first question I ask them is "How much time do you have to listen to me?" The first signs of spring is an excuse for me to clean out the motor home, re-wash the linens and restock the pantry. Then comes my favorite part. The planning of the trips.... oh the trips I plan! My summer is always booked solid; jam packed with exciting camping adventures before the last frost is even gone.

It came to me
One day while I was helping the 18th facebook friend that week find "the perfect camping spot" for their family trip this summer, it dawned on me. Why do I do this? Why do I jump all over any opportunity to share my secret spots, tips and tricks for camping? Why do I do endless hours of research on campgrounds and lost lakes on dirt roads in the mountains just to hand that info over to someone else's family? I smiled. I know why I do. It's my passion. The next question I asked myself was - "how can I do this on a bigger scale?"

Suddenly... it came to me! A blog.  Not just any blog. A blog about camping in  the Interior of BC and surrounding areas. Some may say "that is an excuse to try new campsites" You bet it is! They do say "go big or go home" - well that is my plan. Then the idea wheel starting turning at mach 10 speed.

My plan
Do you need to know what campground in the Interior best suits small families with pets?
Do you need to know which free campground provides the most amount of shade with good fishing?
Do you have a 30 foot trailer and want to know which rec site is the easiest to get in and out of  with a 30 foot trailer and a boat on a long weekend?

Look no further.

Do you want ideas on what activities to pack for a group of kids while camping for a week?
Do you need fun food ideas for the campfire?
Do you need to know how to make the most of the cupboard space in your trailer?
Do you want to see photos of every site in a particular campground so that you can choose the best one for your family?

Look no further. I have those answers. In one place.

"S'mores in Small Towns" - my camping experiences and knowledge will knock those socks right out of your hiking boots! ;)

I look forward to my first "virtual camping season" with you.

Sincerely,
Ms. Frontier
